Wine Rack Pictures

This picture shows the top and carcass of the wine rack. Note the oak trim around the top and along the front edges of the carcass. A special walnut stain was used. The finish on the carcass and top is protected with a clear polyurethane finish.

This picture shows the details of the shelving. Note the 1 x 2 piece fastened on the outside edge of each shelf. This adds strength to the shelves and helps prevent sagging.

plans for the wine rack
This is the plan for the wine rack. Some details have been omitted. Oak trim on the top and front edge of the carcass was attached using biscuit joinery. the 1 x 2" pieces separating wine bottles on each shelf were attached using glue and 1 1/4" screws. The screws were inserted underneath each shelf. An oak base trim was added to the sides.
